   Windows* 98 Signed Driver Readme File

More information on using signed drivers
========================================
Microsoft* Windows 98 supports the use of "signed" drivers,
which are drivers that have been certified by the Windows
Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) and packaged with a Microsoft-signed
"catalog file", or CAT file, which verifies that the
particular driver and its support files have been certified
by Microsoft. For more information on driver signing, see
www.microsoft.com/hwdev/desinit/digitsign.htm.

The adapter CD-ROM contains the files to make an install disk
which contains the signed driver files.

How to create a floppy installation disk from this CD-ROM
=========================================================
To install the PRO/100 + Client adapter signed driver, you must
create an installation diskette and use this diskette to install
and configure the PRO/100+ Client adapter.

To create the installation diskette, you'll need a blank,
formatted, 3.5-inch, high-density diskette.

1. Insert the PRO/100+ Client adapter CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive
   of a system where you can start a DOS prompt.

2. From the DOS prompt, go to the root directory of your CD-ROM drive.

3. Run the MAKEW98.BAT file and follow the instructions on the
   screen. You will be prompted to label and insert the blank
   diskette.

4. Use your newly created diskette to install and configure the
   PRO/100+ Client adapter software with Windows 98.
